Alexandre Girard, Dietitian with a Passion for Cooking and Fine Pastry

November 20, 2025 ,

SOSCuisine welcomes a new talent to its Nutrition team: Alexandre Girard. This registered dietitian, who joined us this fall, is passionate about cooking and science. He offers personalized support to our VIP members, committed to helping people improve their health while still enjoying their food.

How did nutrition become your profession?

I chose nutrition to combine my two passions, science and cooking, because it’s the perfect bridge between the pleasure of good food and achieving optimal health.

My interest was sparked early on, initially by the sciences — particularly chemistry and biology — which have always fascinated me since they explain how the body works. At the same time, my passion for cooking grew with the time I spent preparing meals with my family. This is where I started to understand how food nourishes the body and the creativity that accompanies food preparation. I quickly realized that science could be used to optimize health without sacrificing the pleasure of cooking delicious meals.

I chose the profession of Registered Dietitian to show people that it’s possible to significantly improve their diet and health… without ever compromising on the pleasure of eating!

How did you end up on the SOSCuisine team?

As a registered dietitian, my goal has always been to help my patients improve their diets and adopt healthier habits. However, the biggest obstacle is almost never a lack of willpower, but rather a lack of inspiration and the complexity of meal planning.

I discovered SOSCuisine several years ago, and the service quickly became my go-to tool. I regularly referred my patients to their personalized meal plans, whether for weight management, diabetes, or simply a need to simplify cooking. I saw the tangible results: patients returned more motivated, finally rediscovering the joy of cooking without stress. The opportunity to join the team and contribute directly to their mission was therefore a natural fit; it was a perfect match for both business and pleasure: putting my expertise to work for a platform I loved and already wholeheartedly recommended.

What is your role at SOSCuisine?

My role at SOSCuisine is to provide specialized nutritional support to our clients through private VIP consultations.

I help people transform their eating habits and manage various health conditions, such as chronic illnesses or digestive disorders. My goal is to provide the personalized support and guidance they need to adapt to a healthier lifestyle in a sustainable and positive way. I use my professional expertise to further SOSCuisine’s mission of simplifying life in the kitchen and improving the health of our users.

What are the challenges you face as a dietitian?

The main challenge I face as a dietitian lies in translating knowledge into sustainable and consistent action in my clients’ lives.

Most people know what they should be eating, but the real obstacle is integrating these principles into a busy daily routine, taking into account psychological, emotional, and logistical factors. My challenge is to go beyond simple nutritional advice to develop strategies that are practical, enjoyable, and personalized. The goal isn’t the temporary perfection of a diet, but a harmonious and lasting commitment to a lifestyle that not only improves health but also fosters a healthy and positive relationship with food.

Alexandre in the kitchen

If I were a food, I would be… an avocado, because it is rich in good fats and incredibly versatile, symbolizing my desire to bring substance and adaptability to any situation.

My culinary specialty is… pastry-making, always with the goal of making it as healthy and tasty as possible.

In my kitchen, I avoid … food waste, by meticulously planning my meals and using leftovers and wilted vegetables creatively.

My preferred SOSCuisine recipe …  Black Beans Brownies
