I am enjoying this site, it has really helped me, now that I am alone, to only purchase my daily needs. I can address my issues with a healthy mindset and I am doing GREAT – thank you!

Comment on How to Choose a Low FODMAP Bread? by Kathryn Adel, MS, Dt.P. https://maintenance.soscuisine.com/blog/choose-low-fodmap-bread/#comment-1547025 Mon, 07 Apr 2025 12:52:34 +0000 https://www.soscuisine.com/?p=152173#comment-1547025 Hi Gen,
White wheat bread is low FODMAP for 1 slice (24g) and becomes high FODMAP at 36g. The Dave’s Killer White Done Right thin slice contains wheat, barley and Rye but should be low FODMAP for 1 slice (28g). You should only eat 1 slice at the time.

It seems like okay.

Comment on Eat Fruits and Vegetables Daily in 5 Easy Steps! by Cinzia Cuneo https://maintenance.soscuisine.com/blog/eat-fruits-and-vegetables-daily-in-5-easy-steps/#comment-1538828 Fri, 21 Mar 2025 19:18:31 +0000 http://admin.soscuisine.com/en/blog/?p=11233#comment-1538828 In reply to Hazel Bamford.

Hi Hazel,
You should do the reintroduction of the various FODMAP families to find out what foods and how much you are intolerant to. At the end you may found out that you are avoiding too many fruits that you could eat.

I used to always eat five pieces of fruit as well as vegetable soup and many other vegetables. Then suddenly when I was just around 70 my body obviously changed and over the next few months I became intolerant of lots of fruit and vegetables. It took me a while and I realised that it was FODMAPs causing me the problems. I now have to research everything in my diet so I don’t spend hours on the toilet. It also means that my husband is on a limited diet too as he isn’t much of a cook !
Not sure what else I can do !?

Hazel

I take a kiwi every morning, then I make a chia/prune/juice mix, put it in the fridge and have that in the evening. I have gone from constipation to 2-3 easy bowels a day.
